Introduction
With the new Pro Discover Team luggage system now being released and in stock here we wanted to weigh the original Pro Discover bike packing range of luggage as a comparison. We’ll be calling the original range “rugged” throughout the website as it appears much more hardy than the ultra lightweight “Team” range.
Fitment in our opinion is superior to the new Pro Discover Team bike packing range of luggage with more strap adjustability and frame protection built in. The materials appear much thicker and durable and in our testing it is really very nice kit. The downside to all this is that it weighs more compared to the Team range, in some instances, a lot more.
As with the Team range we’ll also get all this onto our GR20 gravel bike for some photos.
Below we have made 2 tables. The first is a direct system to system comparison between the same items within the Rugged and Team range. The second table is the complete range of Rugged bike packing luggage. The weights that are missing from the second table are the ones that we have not actually weighed ourselves.
