Custom colour.

Here at Forwards we want your bike to be special to you. You can choose your frame, forks and graphics colours and not just from a small selection of colours, any colour, within reason. The fabulous world of colour is wide open to you so why not make a statement with your beloved bike and extend your personality to it?

Our frames are painted by the finest Artisan frame painters here in the UK. A single colour paint finish is included in the price as standard but your frame can be finished in multiple colours or more elaborate designs if you desire and will be priced accordingly.

Graphics come in any colour you like. The graphics are stencilled on which produces a completely flush finish. If you have a race team and want custom graphics for the team we can make the happen as well.

When it comes to ordering your Forwards bike you’ll have the amazing task of choosing a colour for the frame and the graphics.

When choosing a colour we ask our customers to think of one they like and then search the web and look around them when they’re out and about. Vehicles, although not the best of friends to us cyclists, can be very helpful in this instance. Let’s look at our prototype RD21 road bike. It’s absolutely stunning. The colour and depth is something to be seen to be believed but it wasn’t easy to find. I knew I wanted it to be red, red is after all my favourite colour, maybe that’s saying something about my personality but that’s another subject altogether.

Anyway, red. I wanted a stunning red. I searched the web for reds, added a few brand names to the mix and it then evolved to candy red. It is a top tip to search for supercar brands and then add the colour. Say, Ferrari red for example or Ferrari metallic red. You’ll obviously be looking through the images and from here it’ll snowball but eventually narrow down. Then I went out and looked at the colours in the real world in different lights. Although you may look a little funny looking around car parks and forecourts it’s a great exercise in getting it right.

We are also here to help and have done so with many customers and suggested ideas. We also have thousands of sample cards at our paint facility and past build sample cards at the studio to see.

At the end of the day, it’s your own custom bike so it’s worth a little time getting it right.
