The Kings Cup Gravel Race

With the Gravel Bike scene exploding in the UK at the moment we loaded up the team van with riders, bikes and kit and headed to the inaugural British National Gravel Championships, The Kings Cup this past weekend.

It was held at Wideham Farm/Kings Forest near Bury St Edmunds and consisted of 3x 23km lap around the forest on varied surfaces including gravel, grass and sand. The event was exceptionally well organised throughout and as a team, we can’t wait to attend again next year.

19-34 Category Race

James Peckham finished the 69.2km race in 22nd place in a time of 2:14:44

Russell Speight finished the 69.2km race in 32nd place, in a time of 2:17:44

40-44 Category Race

Ian Crocker finished the 69.2km race in 6th place in a time of 2:17:24

Strava KOM Hunting

You'll also be happy to know that as a team we took a number of Strava KOM's and cups over the weekend. Small victories hey?

The Gravel Race Bikes

Forwards GR20’s none the less. We’ll put a post together featuring the race bike shortly.
